Foma is a Bokononist term meaning "harmless untruths", "lies", "a useful and harmless sort of horseshit".

"Bokonon", the creator of the Bokonon religion, is a fictional character in the novel, Cat's Cradle, by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr..

Bokonon encourages us to live by the foma that make you brave and kind and healthy and happy.

So for a while now I have had trouble believing anything i painted was worth more than the canvas they were painted on. I'd lost my faith in blobs for blob's sake. Anyway, a while back my brother purchased a tiki god from the "Tiki Master" and according to the web site the tiki had special powers that would bring him luck. From then on whenever I'd hear that things were going good for my bro., I'd chock it up to the tiki... Well it got me thinking, why not infuse my paintings with their own special powers? A Foma that would be passed to anyone who purchased a wall blob. The idea helped me relax and not worry so much about the paintings or their worth. I mean, now they have special powers, and are a bargain at any price, right?

Okay I know it seems kind of gimmicky. The paintings are still messy, and most likely an acquired taste for most sane people. But if you can get beyond that, the paintings are guaranteed to change your life if you can believe the Foma* just for the fun of it.
