My current
studio is located at the side of our new home. It is
by far the best area I have ever had to paint in. The
ceiling is low and there is no sink or natural light
to speak of, but it does have lots of space. And after
painting in a closet for
over a year it seems enormous. In fact there is a separate
room that I am using to make my painting/wood sculpture
things again, which really has me excited.

Funny thing
about a new studio, it took me quite a while to get
in to the flow. It seemed I spent a lot of time arranging
stuff, and stalling before I actually got any brushes
wet. Ronald Scholz, an internet friend of mine sent
me a quote from the White Stripes that bounced around
my head often as I stared at blank canvases.
"When you're
in the bigger room, you might not know what to do. Yer
gonna have to think of how you got started, sittin'
in your little room"

Life is good, and I wish for
everyone a similar place of their own to escape into
and play the days away.
